Knife Making
With David Freedman
Blacksmith
and Knife maker David Freedman will guide you through the stages
of creating a traditional carbon steel knife to your design, from
a blank (usually made from recycled tools such as saw blades),
through hardening and tempering heat processes, to shaping,
refining, sharpening and finishing.
You
will then design and attach a hardwood handle and if time permits
you can also make your own made to measure leather sheath!'
-This
course is suitable for people with some machine/ DIY experience
(Adults Only).
If you
have never made things before you are still welcome to attend,
though the tutor may be obliged to assist you with some of the
machine work for your own safety.-
