Who & Where we are.

	The Potters Barn is owned and run by Steve Marr and Andrew Pollard. They met while studying for their Ceramic Honours Degree at Farnham (West Surrey College of Art and Design). This is their second pottery and they hope they do not have to move again in the near future (don't ask about moving kilns).

The Potters Barn is set at the heart of the UK in the beautiful Cheshire countryside next to the Trent and Mersey canal and close to junction 17 on the M6 motorway.

	The pots are fired twice. The first firing is called a biscuit firing. After the pots have been glazed and decorated, they have a second firing, called a glost firing. Most of the ware is reduction fired stoneware but some garden terracotta and Raku ware is also made.
